Setting a traditional Tibetan courtyard with flowers and trees

The Setting

The restaurant is built around a traditional Tibetan courtyard full of flowers and trees. Eating good food outside on a sunny Lhasa afternoon is a real pleasure.

The Hot Pot

The hotpot is cooked at your table and shared, Tibetan style. Typical ingredients are:

  • air-dried yak meat
  • dried chillies and Sichuan pepper
  • lettuce, lotus root and potatoes
  • pea shoots and other greens
  • tofu and seasonal vegetables

What makes it special: instead of fresh meat, the hotpot uses air-dried yak meat, a Tibetan speciality with a deep, rich flavour. Together with the courtyard, it makes a memorable meal in Lhasa.

We answer within 12 hours, Monday to Saturday.
