This page explains which cookies tibettravel.com uses, what each one does, and how you can change your choice at any time. We are a tour operator in Lhasa, running Tibet tours since 1999. We do not sell anything online on this site — there is no shopping cart and no online card payment — so we use very few cookies.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. It lets the site remember something about your visit — for example, that you have already answered the cookie question.
Cookies we always use (necessary)
These keep the site safe and working. They do not track you, and the site cannot work properly without them, so they do not need your consent.
- tt_consent — remembers whether you clicked Accept or Reject, so we do not ask you again on every page. It lasts 180 days.
- __cf_bm — set by Cloudflare, our security service, to tell real visitors from automated attacks. It lasts 30 minutes.
Cookies we use only if you accept
When you click Accept on the cookie bar, we may also use:
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — tell us which pages are read most and where visitors come from, so we can improve the site. The information is counted together for all visitors; it does not tell us who you are.
- Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta) — let us show our Tibet tours to you on other websites after you have visited ours. These are set by Google and Meta.
If you click Reject, none of these cookies are set, and the site works exactly the same for you.
How to change your mind
Click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, and choose again. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser settings — then the cookie bar will ask you again on your next visit.
