Nepal Tours
Nepal lies on the far side of the same Himalaya we have guided since 1999. We do not run Nepal ourselves — a licensed local partner in Kathmandu does, at its own published rates, with nothing added on top by us. What follows is a short, hand-picked selection of their private Nepal itineraries, listed by how many days you have.
Nepal routes, by how many days you have
Private, on your dates
One route for each length of stay — a short, hand-picked list rather than a catalogue. Tell us your dates and we will get the partner’s exact itinerary and price.

4 Days — Kathmandu Valley and its World Heritage Sites
A short, dense introduction to the Kathmandu Valley: seven UNESCO-listed monuments across three old royal cities, with time left over for the bazaar and the riverside ghats.
Kathmandu · Patan · Bhaktapur

7 Days — Kathmandu and Pokhara
The two essential stops. Temple squares and stupas in the Kathmandu Valley first, then west to Pokhara for Phewa Lake and sunrise over the Annapurna range.
Kathmandu · Patan · Bhaktapur · Pokhara

8 Days — Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan
The most complete first trip: heritage in the Kathmandu Valley, mountain views in Pokhara, and two nights of safari and birdwatching in Chitwan National Park.
Kathmandu · Pokhara · Chitwan · Kathmandu

9 Days — Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and Nagarkot
The classic circuit with Nagarkot added at the end, where on a clear morning the Himalaya — Everest included — stands along the whole northern horizon.
Kathmandu · Pokhara · Chitwan · Nagarkot

10 Days — Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini and Pokhara
Adds Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha, to the classic loop — a slow, complete pass through Nepal’s culture, wildlife and mountains.
Kathmandu · Chitwan · Lumbini · Pokhara
How we work with our partner in Nepal
We are a Tibet-only operator, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. Every itinerary on this page is operated by a licensed Nepali agency we have worked with for years — their guides, their vehicles, their permits. They quote you their own price and you pay them directly; we take no commission and add nothing to it. You are welcome to book Nepal with them without booking Tibet at all. We list these routes because our guests ask us for them so often.
Good to know before you book
Two seasons carry almost everyone: October to November and March to April, when the air is clearest and the mountains show. Those are also the busiest months, so good hotels in Kathmandu and seats on the mountain flights fill well ahead. The monsoon runs roughly June to September.
Most passports can obtain a Nepali visa on arrival at Kathmandu airport, or apply for it online before departure. We will ask the partner to confirm the current rules for your nationality before anything is booked.
Frequently asked questions
Do you operate the Nepal tours yourselves?
No — and we say so openly. We are a Tibet-only operator. Our Nepal itineraries are arranged by a licensed local partner in Kathmandu at their own published rates, and we add nothing on top. You are welcome to book Nepal with them directly, with or without a Tibet trip.
Can I combine Nepal with a Tibet tour?
Yes — it is the most common way our guests do it. Kathmandu and Lhasa are connected overland across the Gyirong border and by direct flights, so the two fit together easily. See Tibet Tour Plus for the combined routes, or simply tell us your dates and we will advise.
When is the best time to travel in Nepal?
October to November and March to April give the clearest mountain views and the most comfortable temperatures. The monsoon runs roughly June to September. Midwinter is cold at altitude, but quiet and very clear.
Do I need a visa for Nepal?
Most nationalities can get a Nepali visa on arrival at Kathmandu airport, or apply online in advance. We will ask the partner to confirm the current rules for your passport before you book.
