DAY 1 Shanghai Arrival



Welcome to Shanghai, the China’s most cosmopolitan city. Your private tour guide and driver will meet you at the airport or train station, and escort you to your hotel in downtown. The rest of the day is free for you to have fun and relax.

DAY 2 Shanghai



Yu Garden is your first stop in Shanghai. The private garden built in Ming Dynasty fully shows the architecture and design style of classical Chinese gardens with delicate pavilions, clear ponds and artificial hills. Next, you will walk leisurely through the Yuyuan Bazaar which is full of tasteful local snacks and elaborate traditional Chinese handicrafts and art works, and locates right next to the Yu Garden. Then, drive to Lujiazui and ascend to the second tallest skyscraper in Asia - Shanghai World Financial Center. Overlooking from the view deck on the 100th floor, a prosperous and majestic Shanghai will reveal its true face in front of you.
After lunch, stroll along Nanjing Road, you will be surprised how this paradise for shoppers satisfy your shopping demand. At the east end of the road appears the famous Bund, the symbol of Shanghai situated in the river bank of Huangpu River. Walk along the Bund, feel the perfect fusion of Chinese culture and Western culture, and seize the stunning Shanghai skyline with your own eyes.
Optional Recommended Night Activity: take an enjoyable ship cruise on the Huangpu River to enjoy the beautiful night view of Shanghai.

DAY 3 Flight to Chengdu from Shanghai



The first place to visit for today is the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center where multiple medias, such as photography, models, videos, machines, etc, are used to help visitors to learn about the past history, present facts and future plan of Shanghai. Then come to the next site - Jade Buddha Temple which has the largest jade Buddha in the world and numerous religious artifacts, ancient statues and Buddhist scriptures. It is the hidden pure land in the crowded and modern metropolis.
In the afternoon, you will go to catch your flight to the hometown of Giant Panda - Chengdu. Upon arriving at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, you will be met by your local tour guide, and then drive to your downtown hotel in the City. After the hotel check-in, you are free to take a rest or explore around on your own.
Optional Activity: go to enjoy an authentic Sichuan Cuisine dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 4 Chengdu



Chengdu has three famous features - Giant Panda, History and Leisure Living Pace. Today, you will go to explore these tree features one by one. First is to visit the lovely Giant Pandas in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, which is the No. 1 thing to do in Chengdu. You will leave your hotel early and drive about 30 minutes to the panda base so that you can catch up the great moments of pandas, such as feeding, playing, climbing tree, etc. There are different enclosures for pages of different ages, such as all around to see baby pandas, 1 year-old pandas, teenage pandas, and older pandas. Beautiful walking paths will lead you to visit the enclosures from one to next. Enjoy the happy time with pandas.
The second place to visit is the sacred Wenshu Temple which is hidden peacefully among the modern mansions. This temple is the most popular Buddhist temple in Chengdu region. It has beautiful traditional ancient architecture. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, some people are praying. There is a little garden and the monastery is very colorful and decorated.
Lastly, you are going to explore the leisure living peace of locals at Renmin Park and Jinli Street. Renmin Park, or People’s Park is the place for locals to go for a relaxing walk, meet friends, or have a cup of tea. While Jinli is the “street of tourists”. You can wander on the traditional old street to absorb the special atmosphere of Chengdu, taste local snacks, watching a performance, etc.

DAY 5 Take Flight to Lhasa from Chengdu



Today, you will be free until your local guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to Lhasa (about 2 hours’ flight). Upon arriving at Lhasa Gongga Airport, you will be picked up by local tour guide at the airport hall, then be escorted to your hotel in Lhasa city in a private vehicle. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the local areas and acclimatize yourself to the air, temperature and high altitude of Lhasa.
High Altitude Acclimation Tips:1) go for some leisure walking to acclimate the high altitude but avoid strenuous activity after arrival; 2) you’d better not have bath, in case of catching a cold; 3) drink more water, and have some fruit; 4) have a good rest.

DAY 6 Lhasa



Start today’s Lhasa exploration with an exciting visit to the landmark - Potala Palace which is regarded as one of the most beautiful architectural building in the world. You will climb up the palace along the zigzag stone paths with white-and-red walls to the top of the palace where you can not only appreciate the exotic Tibetan-style architecture, but also get a great view of Lhasa’s urban areas, then walk into the inner space of Potala Palace to explore the stately chapels and learn about the history of the palace.
Continuing your exploration, you will then get to Jokhang Templewhich is considered as the spiritual heart of Tibetan Buddhism. Each day, there are thousands of pilgrims coming from different places in Tibet to the temple to worship to the Buddha. This temple is also known as the “house of Buddha” because it keeps the precious Jowo Rinpoche, the life-sized (5 foot/1.5m) image of the Shakyamuni at the age of 12. The last site for today’s exploration is the famous Barkor Street. It is a circular and wide street encircling the Jokhang Temple. The local people like to walk on the street for several circles usually in the late afternoon as a daily tradition of pilgrimage. The street also has many shops selling a wide variety of traditional Tibetan goods, religious items and handcrafts.
Tips of today: 1) there are 1,080 steps up to climb to the top of Potala Palace, so don’t walk in a rush, which may cause high altitude sickness; 2) taking photos is not allowed inside the palace; 3) today you will be mainly outside, please bring some water, a hat, sun cream, and sun glasses with you.

DAY 7 Lhasa



After breakfast, you will firstly go to visit the beautiful Norbulingka which used to be the former summer palace of Dalai Lamas in the ancient time, and now is a public park. It is famous for its Potrang, the private palaces of former Dalai lamas with grandiose Tibetan architecture style. Next, drive several kilometers to the western outskirts of Lhasa to visit Drepung Monastery. Drepung, in Tibetan, means “prosperity”. Since its establishment, Drepung Monastery has always been one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in Tibet. In its heyday, there were more than 10,000 monks lived and studied in the monastery. Throughout its history, many important and famous Tibetan leaders used to study here, especially the Dalai Lamas. So Drepung Monastery is also respectfully known as the “Mother School of Dalai Lamas”.
In the afternoon, you will be taken to another famous monastery in Lhasa - Sera Monastery. It is famous for the spectacular “Buddhism Debating”. As a daily routine, the monks gather in a courtyard, and debate on the Buddhist doctrines with supplemented gestures, which is thought to be helpful to facilitates better comprehension of the Buddhist philosophy to attain higher levels of study. After enjoying the "Buddhism Debating", you will be transferred back to the city. The rest time is your own free time to rest.
The Etiquette of Visiting Monastery: 1) you shouldn’t wear short and uncover shoulders; 2) taking off your sunglasses and hat before entering the chapels; 3) taking photos is usually not allowed inside the chapels.

DAY 8 Flight to Kathmandu from Lhasa



Today is free for you until your tour guide transfer you to the airport in time for your flight to Kathmandu. After arriving at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by our enthusiastic guide with a very smiling face, then be transferred to check in your hotel in downtown by a air-conditioned private vehicle. The rest of today is your free time to take rest or walk around.
Tips of Today: 1) please pack your luggage carefully, especially for small things like camera charger, power adaptor, mobile phone, phone charger, wallet and towel; 2) if your flight is arranged in the afternoon, please make sure you check out the hotel before 12pm.

DAY 9 Kathmandu - Nagarkot



Today’s activities start with a wonderful stroll around the grand Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. With the complex made between the 12th and 18th centuries by the ancient Malla Kings of Nepal, it provides many interesting things to see, like Taleju Temple, Kal Bhairab (God of Destruction), Nautalle Durbar, Coronation Nasal Chowk, the Gaddi Baithak, the statue of King Pratap Malla, the Big Bell, Big Drum and the Jagnnath Temple etc. Then you will visit the Kathmandu’s most ancient and enigmatic holy shrine - Swayambhunath, also known as “Monkey Temple”. It lies 2km west of Kathmandu City. On the clear days, you are able to see a line of Himalayan Ranges. From its hilltop setting, you can get a fine view over Kathmandu of and the valley.
After that, move to see the giant Buddhist stupa - Bodhanath, the largest stupa in Kathmandu Valley at about 131ft (40km) high and one of the largest and most important Buddhist stupas in the world. The all-seeing red, white and blue eyes of Buddha are painted on all four sides of the stupa, similar to Swayambhunath, and surrounded by hundreds of fluttering prayer flags, prayer wheels and small images of Buddha. Leaving Bodhanath, you will drive about 34 km northeastward to Nagarkot. With an altitude of 2,715 meters, this place is an ideal place to enjoy the grandiose views of Mount Everest and some other high peaks over 7500m on the Himalaya Range. It time is right, you will catch up with the breathtaking sunset.

DAY 10 Nagarkot - Bhaktapur - Kathmandu



Get up early in the morning to catch the precious moment to watch the breathtaking sunrise over Mt. Everest from Nagarkot, then get back to your hotel to have breakfast.
After having the fantastic time in Nagarkot, you’ll be transferred to another sister city of Kathmandu and Patan - Bhaktapur which is one of three medieval city-states in the Kathmandu Valley as well as the best preserved one with an altitude of 1,401 meter. With three different styles square - Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square and Dattatreya Square, it is the best place to explore traditional Nepalese architecture and local life and custom, also the best place to witness the great achievements of arts and crafts created by the famous Nepal’s Malla Dynasty (1201–1769). Bhaktapur is also famous as the Town of the Devotees. There are many devout Hindus and Buddhists living in the city.
After the Bhaktapur visit, you will head to next destination - Patan, once a glorious independent kingdom, but now almost a suburb of Kathmandu city. It is known for the crowding Patan Durbar Square which is honored as the finest collection of temples and palaces with exquisite carvings in the whole of Nepal. It also attracts tourists with the treasures and souvenirs in the various shops around the square. The square consists of three main chowks, or courtyards - the central Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Main Keshab Narayan Chowk.
Leaving Patan, you will return back to Kathmandu city to visit Pashupatinath which is one of the world most sacred places of worship for the Hindus delicated to lord Shiva. This temple has a reputation of “the Temple of Living Beings”. Every day you will find hordes of people from all over Nepal and India pilgrimaging to the Pashupatinath Temple in order to give worship to Pashupati. They start off this process early in the morning where they are blessed by Lord Shiva. Each year there is a formal celebration called Shivaratri, which means “night of Lord Shiva”, that is attended by thousands of people.

DAY 11 Kathmandu Departure



Your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel to the airport in time for the scheduled flight to your next destination. Before that, you can take a rest at the hotel or go for a walk nearby.

Zuerst dankte ich an unseren Reiseleiter Lobsang. Er führt uns einen der höchsten WC in Tibet besuchen, bevor wir die Wallfahrt nach diesem heiligen Schrein am Dala Lama gebaut. Er verwendeten Materialien aus der Fuß des Berges und es entstand ein See gibt es in Ordnung für eine ausgewogene Landschaft. Blick auf den größten Platz in Lhasa können gesehen vom Palast. Als wir an dem Tag und zwar fast jeden Tag kamen, kann man hunderte und Tausende von Menschen singen und heftig auf dem Platz. Viele religiöse Trefferstelle waren in das Palace gespeichert. Viele Gläubige waren immer noch durch Türen in der Palast betete. Es gab viele Buddha Satzung in den verschiedenen Zimmern mit verzierten Perlen schmücken. Wer kann von der spirituellen Kraft, berührt die Amv (Lehrer Sinn) repräsentiert werden.

Dies ist das wichtigste in Lhasa, wenn nicht ein verschwendetem Reise gemacht haben, oder auch beim nächsten Mal wieder zu sehen. Nehmen Sie es langsam, da gibt es viele Treppen und Dinge zu sehen sind.

Tipps: Wenn Sie in Lhasa sind, gehen Sie zum Potala Palast an ihrem letzten Tag in Lhasa. Erstens, es gibt viele Treppen steigen, also wenn Sie noch zum Eingewöhnen haben, werden Sie wahrscheinlich leiden im Aufstieg. Zweitens, wenn Sie die Hauptattraktion erst einmal sehen, die anderen Kloster/Palace werden können dem Vergleich nicht standhalten. Drittens kommen Sie wieder in den Abend nach Sonnenuntergang zu nehmen Sie den nächtlichen Blick auf dieses Hotel.

Ticket ist eine Postkarte, die man nach Hause schicken. angebracht ist ein 80Cent Briefmarke, nur ganz oben auf der Rest zurück nach Hause zu schicken.

Potala Palast wurde im 7. Jahrhundert erbaut und war der heutige Größe im 17. Jahrhundert erweitert. Es liegt ca. 114m m hoch, mit 13 Etagen des Wohnbereichs, Tempel, Beerdigung stupas und monk Schlafräume. Wie von Anfang 2014, es gibt ca. 70 seltsame monk dort lebenden, er es mehr als eine Touristenattraktion als einen funktionellen Palace/Kloster. Mein Reiseführer ist sehr nett. Wir haben eine schöne Zeit verbracht. Das ist der Grund, warum wir in Lhasa.

I really enjoy the my Tibet tour. First when I started looking for a travel agency in Tibet it was hard because I did not know which one to choose. I started emailing you and asking my thousand questions and you were very nice and answer to all my questions patiently.

I would definitely recommend your company. The guy at the hotel in Lhasa was very nice with us. He helped me a lot when my bank block my debit card and l was not able the withdraw money. He went with me to find a place where I can do international phone call to my bank in Canada. Our guide Djajie was a very good guide, vary helpful, he said to us a lot of information but because English is not my first language, so I did not remember all the information he told us about Tibet.

The driver was very nice, always happy and singing . Too bad he was not speaking English so we were not able to communicate with him without the guide.I would appreciate sometime they eat with us at same table. they always eat at a separate table. Tibetans were nice with us, they looked at us because we were tourists but they were always smiling to us and saying HeIIo. They wanted to take pictures with us, especially with the Australian light brown long hair.

All hotel are well located in the city. For picture, I will send you more than you asked because I like to take pictures. I am the only one in the tour who have a picture of the group. Thanks!

This 8 days tour in Tibet is really incredible and unforgettable. Organization of this tour has been perfect and I was very lucky to join a group with a funny young Chinese lady and 4 very pleasant Germans. it is the ideal size of a group for a good We have all really appreciate our guide, Tashi Peida. For his deep knowledge of the Tibetan civilization and religion. his very good English level and above all, his very pleasant company and his permanent smile. He is more than a guide: a friend The timing has been well managed by Taishi to avoid loss of time on road and to arrive on the Everest tent camp in time to enjoy the incredible view of Qomolangma before the sunset. Accommodation is 3 hotels has been perfect everywhere. The only negative point is that we have understood that our driver didn't have the proper licence to drive our minibus. Das ist eine fantastische Reise von Tibet. Ich vergesse nicht. Trotz Höhenkrankheit und eine lange Busfahrt von 2 Tagen, machte ich es zum Mt. Qomolangma Base Camp von 5200m.Nicht, was ich erwartet hatte. Erste Station war ein kleiner Parkplatz mit Händler verkaufen Tibetan Schmuck und Artefakte. Ein paar kleine Zelte serviert wie Hotels und Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Mini-Bust fuhr uns bis zu dem Denkmal mit Blick auf Basis in der Ferne .Trotz der Kälte Kargheit und der Lage, die Aussicht von Everest auf dem Weg war herrlich! Der Weg gewesen wäre wenn Sie litt zu anstrengenden Höhe.

Wenn Sie Reisennachtibet.de Reiseleiter Pincuo mit mit, da man hier so viel Geschichte und lernen Sie abdecken kann besuchen, die Sie nicht alleine unterwegs zu erkunden. Der Palast wurde zuerst in 641 erbaut und umgebaut von Fifth Dalai Lama im 17. Jahrhundert, ist ein wahres Modell der tibetanischen Architektur mit 13 Etagen über 1.000 Zimmer. Sie sehen einige der Gräber der vergangenen Dalai Lama und viele Kammern. Der Aufstieg zum Palace ist unglaublich und landschaftlich schön, aber etwas anstrengend wegen der hohen Höhenlage. Es werden ca. 2-3 Stunden zum erkunden der gesamten Palace Complex. Verpassen Sie nicht das dies eine einmalige Gelegenheit, Potala Palast wenn Sie je Lhasa besuchen!
