Located in the old area of Lhasa City, Tibet, Barkhor Street is a very ancient round street surrounding the Jokhang Temple and the Tibetan people are always proud of it. As a symbol of Lhasa, this street is also a must-see place for the tourists. Barkhor Street is a place full of religious atmosphere and a world of exotic articles. If you have been attracted by it, you should go there. Believe your eyes, and you will get a lot of surprise there.

Nyingchi is reputed as “Southern Yangtze of Tibet” because of its beautiful Scenery. It is famous for the Yarlung Zangbo valley, which is the deepest one in the world. Nyingchi, lying in the east of Tibet, 3100 meters above sea level, is rich in forest and flowers. From frigid plant Herba Saussureae Involucratae to the tropical plants such as banana and palm; it is abundant in nature resources. The primitive landscape is well-protected. Nyingchi’s beautiful scenery is absolutely different from other Tibetan areas. Everywhere is green and eye-catching, sky is crystal blue while white clouds wandering over the forest; forest is covered by ice while Mountains are covered by snow with their shadows in the limpid lake. The landscape is so splendid that you can not believe it is true. The lake is pretty clear for you to see the bottom and fish, while seagulls and white cranes playing on the surface of the lake.
Burang County lies in south of Ngari, the valley belt of south Himalayas, which is also the boundary of China, India and Nepal. It covers an area of 15,600 square kilometers. Burang is surrounded by jokuls in Nagri. It has a 414 kms border line and 21 natural passageways across. Burang County has been the southwestern door into Ngari from past to present. Because of its special geographic location, border trade has a long history.
Bri-gung Monasery has always emphasized meditation practice, particularly of the tantric specialties of its founder. There is a long tradition of meditators living in caves above and around the monasery, engaged in intensive practice of the six teachings of Naropa (Na-ro chos-drug, six yogas of Naropa) and the Possessing Five Tradition (lnga-ldan). From time to time, these yogis living in retreat would have to demonstrate their meditation accomplishments before the two heads of the Drigung Tradition, the Drigung Chetsang (‘Bri-gung Che-tshang) and Drigung Chungtsang (‘Bri-gung Chung-tshang).
