Dates: The Festival is held in the 7th month of the Tibetan calendar, it lasts for 7 days from 6 to 12. It usually occurs on 8-14th September.
The festival is from the black ditch, Bazang village, Quzhou County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. There is a giant cypress which grows on the cliff. A stream runs from the cypress root, which is regarded as Holy water, or “Qusha” in Tibetan. In the normal times, the stream is very small.
