Paxiong is a county, lies in Bomi county, in the headwater area of Palongzangbu River, east of QuzongZangbu River, about 60 km away from Bomi county. There are only more than 30 family, around 280 villagers. It’s a small county, but with a very famous folk festival: Paxiong Reba Festival.

Reting temple is located in Tangguo village, Linzhou Country, which is 240 kilometers away from the north of Lhasa. It was built by Zhongdun Yi, the founder of Kadampa.

The festival is from the black ditch, Bazang village, Quzhou County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. There is a giant cypress which grows on the cliff. A stream runs from the cypress root, which is regarded as Holy water, or “Qusha” in Tibetan. In the normal times, the stream is very small.
