Whether you have been asked :“where is your dreaming place to travel?”
To many people who have ever been there or not, the answer is absolutely the same: Tibet. Why is Tibet holding so strong charms to outsiders all over the Globe?Is it the simplicity of the local Tibetans? the devout belief? the picturesque landscape? or the invisible pure air.

Maybe one day you can feel it when you are there, but your words will fail to express what you feel inside.

Here, our Ganglamedo is just in Lhasa, in the heart of the soul of the snow high land. As a bar, more exactly, a restaurant, you will find everything you want here, all kinds of music ,fresh beer and such rare things in Tibet as coffee and pizza. And if you like ,you can enjoy some traditional food of Tibet, Napel, Chinese or western style. But, this is not the only or even the main reason making it so different. Ganglamedo is the right place for you to see, to touch, to learn a real Lhasa and a real Tibet.

 As the capital of Tibet, Lhasa itself is a rich museum featuring ancient ruins, ancient architecture, ancient monasteries, ancient stone tablets and ancient gardens. Located in the east of Lhasa, Ganglamedo is quite near Jokhang Temple and belongs to the downtown business district, Bajiao Street. As the only independent Tibetan-type sunlight courtyard for commercial use, Ganglamedo is so different from others. From outside, you may think it is a

two-story building. But when you enter it , actually a three-story one is just there. Very old and quite big, it is well designed and no one would deny what a masterpiece of the excellent architectures it is.

In the courtyard where you could enjoy the bright and undisturbed sunlight coming from the highest sky worldwide, you will know the reason why Lhasa is called "the sunlit city". Through old wood stairs, one can walk to the platform . It is a mini theatre often showing some quite funny and uncommon films.

Go upstairs through the old wood stairs, on the third floor there is a gallery and tattoo studio inside. Besides the stuff in a friendly handcraft store could make your eyes open, the so-called tattoo studio with a huge window is a perfect place for painting. It is one of the hottest studios for local painters.

Next to Ganglamedo, you can see, there is a well-designed and large-scale stone building. It is said that it used to be the residence of the parents of the 11th Dalai Lama. Now, the people at the times have gone but the building is left, with crowded households in each room, although it is quite difficult to find the previous splendid picture.

Ganglamedo, as the pronunciation of snow lotus in Tibetian, when you arrive in Lasa, it will be a regretful thing without coming here!
