Mt.Kailash Kora actually is a pilgrim circumambulation. Many pilgrims of all religions come to worship the mountain and to walk around it. Right now it becomes a very popular trekking route for tourists. More and more people come here to do the Kailash Kora. The kora is 53km long, starting at the town of Darchen just south of the mountain, going up the western valley, then crossing a high pass to the north of the mountain, and walking down the valley to the east of the mountain all the way back to Darchen. Our Mt.Kailash Kora still involves the holy Lake Manasarovar. The Kailash kora can be done from May to middle October.

Day by Day Itinerary:
Day01 Getting into Lhasa
Transfer from Gonggar airport or Railway Station of Lhasa to your hotel, have a good rest in the afternoon to acclimatize. Overnight at Lhasa.
Day02
Sightseeing in Lhasa, visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Market. Overnight at Lhasa.
Day03
Sightseeing in Lhasa, visit Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery. Overnight at Lhasa
Day04
Driving to Gyangtse via Yamdrok Lake, visit the famous Gyantse Kumpum (300km, 7 hours). Overnight at Gyantse
Day05
Visiting Tashilhunpo Monastery, and Sakya Monastery. Driving to Shigatse to visit Tashilunpo Monastery, afternoon drive to Sakya, visit Sakya Monastery (240kms, 5 hours).Overnight at Lhatse
Day06
Driving from Lhatse to Saga (300kms, 9 hours, 4450m high). Overnight at Saga ( Guest House, dorm bed)
Day07
Driving from Saga to Paryang through the windswept territory passing many villages and camps of Yak herders with the distance view of snow capped mountains(250km, 7-8 hours, 4600m high). Overnight at Paryang ( Guest House, drom bed)
Day 08
Driving from Paryang to Lake Manasarovar through open territory with a view of distant mountains, Yak herders camp, if you are lucky enough you might come across a herd of Kang Wild Ass (294km, 8 hours, 4558m high), you will have the first sight of Holy Kailash and Manasarovara. Overnight at the village Hore or Chiu Monastery ( Guest house, dorm bed) L + D
Day09
Resting and sightseeing at Lake Manasarivar. Overnight at the village Hore or Chiu Monastery ( Guest house, dorm bed)
Day10
Driving from Lake Manasarovar to Darchen (60km, 2 hours, 4560m high), prepare for trekking. Overnight at Kailash Hotel.
Day11
Trekking from Darchen to Dira-puk Monastery, 20km, takes about 5 - 6 hours<BR> The first day parikarama is a gradual walk with multitudes of other local pilgrims chanting and praying. The trail leads to few ups and downs till we reach our camp at Dirapuk (4,750m). Camping on the nice grassy meadows with a view of Kailash, north west face at Dirapuk for overnight halt.

Day12
Trekking from Dira-puk Monastery to Zutul-puk Monastery by crossing Drolma-la Pass, 15km, takes about 6 - 7 hours;
Today our parikarama leads to much higher side of the holy path just beneath the Mount Kailash. The walk will bring us to one of the highest point at Drolma La, 5,200m. before descending to the gradual field towards Zuthulphuk for the overnight camp. Zuthulphuk has a small monastery

Trek back to Darchen,14km, 4- 5 hours;
The winding gradual tracks finally ends our holy pilgrimage 5 hours, Overnight at Darchen
Day14
Driving from Darchen to Paryang (4550m, 340km, 9 hours). overnight at Paryang ( Gusethouse, dorm bed).
Day15
Driving from Paryang to Saga (252km, 7-8 hours). Overnight at Saga ( Guesthouse, dorm bed).
Day16
Driving from Saga to Lhatse (300Km, 9 hours ). Overnight at Lhatse
Day17
Driving from Lhatse to Lhasa (450km, 7 hours). Overnight at Lhasa
Day18 Leaving Lhasa
Transfer from your hotel to Gonggar airport or Railway Station of Lhasa in the morning, trip ends.
